High School

High School

We started a Leadership Workshop for SCO- Leaders in a High School in Mamelodi. It is fun to teach and get to know the learners, also through games. We would like them to become godly leaders, who have the right tools to lead others to God.

Leader’s Net meeting 7th of April

This time we met at Live in Christ church. Colin Phels shared about the different personality types. “For we are God’s handiwork…” Eph 2:10. He made us all different, because he has for each one a purpose. How we can work together makes so much more sense if you know how the different personalities are created.

Taxi, Taxi

Taxi, Taxi

The first Leader’s Net Meeting Zintle asked the fresh new Young Hope member Lydia if she can travel alone with the Taxi home. Lydia said absolutely not and was shaking the heard intensive…she never drove with a South African Taxi before. Everybody was laughing. The second meeting was this Sunday (17.03.13). Lydia told the guys from Mamelodi that she was coming alone with the Taxi. They couldn’t believe it.

Blessings for the New Year

Image

‘Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.’Proverbs 19:21

We are praying that the plans we have for this year will be in accordance to the will of God, it’s no use planning without His guidance. This month  Young Hope is preparing for the rest of the year, although we do not know what this year hold, we choose to trust the one who is already in the future.

Every season has it’s indiviual climate suitable for the fruit it will bare, let us be wise then and seek Godly wisdom as Moses did when he asked God to teach him to number his days right and apply a heart of wisom.

Grace and mercy from God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ be with you

The Best Gift this Christmas!

Have you thought of the gift you will give your siblings, parents, cousins, aunts and uncles this season?  This is family time, and being grateful for one another as well as what God has given us.

Christ is the greatest gift and the most expensive one I have ever received. Had it not been for my sister, I possibly (not sure for how long) would still be just a church ‘goer’. In short, I’m saying you can still be in the church, be active, even being in the fore front of most ministries, and still not have this gift. You see, it’s not found in the church. It founded the church; it’s not in the charity event or even in giving.   I knew the correct answers and the right prayers. I knew some scriptures like ‘The Lord is my shepherd’ and ‘ My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.’ I attended church and was active in the church.

Yet I had not received the gift until I was going through some spiritual attack, and my sister shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with me; the GIFT: that he is above every principality, dominion, evil powers…that HE reigns victorious over all. When I accepted and confessed my sins to Jesus and told Him that I needed Him to forgive my sin, I was set free!

Give your family the greatest gift ever!  I received it from my sister. It has no expiry date. It’s so expensive that only He could give it to us. Some don’t know if this Gift is for them, and those very same people could very well be in your family.  Start praying now for God to use you to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to your family during these holidays.

Acts 1:8 “ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

You will be His witness. You have been given the Holy Spirit and have received power to do so. Will you give this gift you have received to your family?
